Gestalt and IoPT Trauma Work

This is an essay originally published in the British Gestalt Journal in 2012 making a link between a Gestalt perspective and the developments of Professor Franz Ruppert.

Dissociation is the separation from reality. Because reality in the moment is too unbearable, we separate ourselves from it.

Association is being in reality as it is, now.

On the Trauma of Identity and the Trauma of Love:

Personal statement: I am a psychotrauma practitioner (originally a Gestalt psychotherapist) with over 30 years experience.
